Significance of Geography in Greece:
-Mountains covered 3/4 of Greece.
-There were about 2000 islands in the Ionian and Aegean Seas.
-Mountainous terrain led to many difficulties such as only 20% of Greece's land being arable and unification difficulties.
-Terrain led to Greece having many skilled sailors, shipbuilders, farmers, metalworkers, weavers, and potters.
-The lack of resources in Greece led to colonization and trade to obtain these resources.
