Corona Virus Thoughts Essay
Have you ever heard the saying that things can change in the blink of an eye? You could have everything you've ever wanted one day and then without any warning it's gone. Well, an example of this saying could be life for everyone in the world right now. The corona virus is changing everything, including not allowing us to go to school. Many people, including myself took these things for granted, saying we hated school or that we didn't feel like going, but now that these things are gone, we can realize the true privilege that we had and that we shouldn't have taken any of it for granted.
Before this pandemic, many of the conversations I would overhear in the hallways would be people complaining about school, talking about how they just wanted to go home, how tired they were, or how hard teachers graded. However, now that normal school has been stripped away, online schooling has led many people to actually want to go back to school and miss it greatly. The constant workload students are receiving can take hours everyday when at school, though it was challenging, there was nowhere near as much work or stress. Students have even begun to plagiarize and make mistakes when it comes to school work because they can't deal with all of it. This consequence of online schooling has happened to the best of us, but it is too easy for students to just text their friends and get the answers with the push of a button. These temptations don't help people to learn at all. Sure, online schooling is a decent solution surrounding the current events, but how much information are students actually attaining? Speaking of students attaining information, how are we supposed to ask teachers questions on topics we don't understand, or get more in depth information if we can't even talk to them face to face? Sure, we can email them but it takes quite a bit of time for them to answer considering how many lesson plans they have to create and how many papers they have to grade. This pandemic has also caused so much stress to teachers, they are concerned about whether they have a good enough lesson for each day, whether students are able to understand the topic, and whether or not they can grade all of the work in time. The constant stress on teachers and students is not healthy and it's beginning to take a toll. Students put less effort into assignments than they would in a classroom and teachers aren't being as nit-picky to help us learn from mistakes. The Corona Virus has led to things we never even thought twice about to be stripped away from us and constant stress to plague our brains.
As you can see, though students always complained about having to go to school, we are now missing seeing our teachers and friends everyday. Our entire schedules have changed in an instant and now we must deal with the new changes, whether or not we like them. Although it has brought loads of stress and pain into the world and our lives, this pandemic has brought one bit of good, it showed us the true value of the things we have.

This is the most eloquent descriptions of this difficult situation that I can imagine. Hang in there, Meghan, and keep in mind that you can email me ANY TIME if you have questions and I will try my best to get right back to you. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
